If it weren't for the canes, I wouldn't know what these guys were up to. I believe they're actors taking a pose, mugging for the camera. The stance is theatrical; the use of canes is theatrical props. They're just not random friends going about their daily lives.
Granddaughter, all round ham and local stage presence, Hazel LeTourneau joins her theater class taking their bow for their performance of Hamlet. Let that sink in. Hamlet. Sixth Grade. I wasn't exposed to Shakespeare until High School and right away, I realize that old English and I don't get along. Hazel is on the far right (stage left) and really into the bow. The group did a fantastic job, a performance to be proud of.
This photoblog is a self-assignment challenge where I take pix based on old vernacular snapshots I buy in thrift or antique stores. Part of the challenge is finding snapshots for less than a buck. The original snapshot is posted on the left and my interpretation/contemporary view is on the right. I do not find an old photo and then dig through my archives to find a good match. The original pic served as a base or starting point. The interpretation may be straight forward or somewhat obtuse.
